| A rescue mission heads for deep space, dispatched to the dark, barren world of Morganthus. The spaceship Rebus lies stricken on the planet's surface, pinned there by a powerful forcefield which eminates from one central point, a vast pyramid containing an awesome and deadly secret. The rescue team arrives and slowly find their numbers dwindling, as one by one they fall prey to unthinkable deaths. Inexorably the survivors are drawn towards the pyramid and the fulfilment of their destiny. Cult filmmaker Roger Corman has created a terrifying film which takes the best elements from "Alien" and "The Thing" and ends up a masterpiece of horror. |
